well, we got our first snowfall of the season so far 1-2 inches tops is about it and today 10 a.m. here comes the snow plow in our small village going back/forth 6x's up our street to scrape off the dusting which was already melting due to known rain coming down this morning also.  WHY snowplow the 1 inch at most which was totally melted off our driveways and all concrete surfaces except the grass due to the rain that was coming down this morning by 11 a.m. as expected with warmer temps overnight into the 40's with more rain expected tomorrow also 40 or so.

Doesn't the village crew have anything better to do since by noon it was completely melted and gone off all roads due to rain and warming temps?  What purpose does snowplowing serve for the 1 inch melting rapidly 1 hour later?  It was slush and above 35 degrees out so not like the roads were slippery at 10 a.m. when he came around with the village plow truck.

Even seen yuppie rich neighbors who hire someone to come up our street with a bobcat to do the driveway up a few houses from me, why?  it was gone 30 minutes later this morning?

Not a lot of common sense happening in my small town lately... uglystupid2

I watched the snowplow truck and NO salt thrown down yet as it is now totally off the grass as well already.  2 inches of snow melts with warming 40 degree temps now and rain.

When I was a kid in small town Minnesota, the roads didn't get plowed until it stopped snowing and sometimes it took them a day to get to you after it stopped.  A couple of sacks of feed in the back of the truck got you through if you needed to get out.  If you got stuck you were and idiot.

Can't remember who said it but "We suffer today from sever prosperity and our children are paying the price."

Politics & liberal economics.  IF YOU DON'T SPEND YOUR BUDGET YOU LOSE IT.  Rather than effective reallocation of the resource or even a reduction.  Taxes is like a broken socket wrench handle - a ratchet w/o reverse - clicks upward only.  Not Snap-On - must have been sold by Harbor Freight, products from China.  Fits the socialist - liberal politician's paradigm.

wish the plow would NOT go thru at all pushing 2 feet of snow at the end of my driveway so early so have to get out and get it done so early just let the darn stuff melt or how about like said waiting until it stops snowing the next day or so.  Also,  why go up/down our street 6x's?  I think if they left few feet OUT away from our driveway would be best right NO shoveling out the end of our driveway so much?  The guy who retired plowing snow in our town, neighbor down the street \, use to be smart reversing his direction going on the wrong side of the road and put his plow outward coming into each driveway, then back to the curb so well over 1/2 the snowpile would be gone off everyone's driveway.

told my kids same thing about something about prosperity ruining kids nowadays basically telling them neither would have been able to survive if went back in time 40 years ago growing up in the say 1970's.  Although am sure same can be said for my generation growing up in 1970's if it was 1920-1940's each generation had it easier and easier in terms of life in general.
