Thanks ya'll! It was a mostly normal day, had some cupcakes with the triplets (Kali was at work)...
Tonight having a few local friends over to sit around the firepit, consume cigars, scotch and charred cow flesh.
Can't ask for much more than that!

Happy Birthday Serk!!! Yeah you're so young that it's a day to celebrate - not yet a day to dread.
I'm reminded, Oh Yeah it's also my sister's birthday. In two days my brother's - and shortly after, mine. Why so grouped? A couple reasons. One, my preacher father didn't have much $$$$ so getting birthdays close to Christmas lets gifters consolidate gifts, saving money. Two, my Mom's birthday was 9 months ago. "Hey babe, here's yer present!"
I generally don't mention my birthday to anyone. Especially on social media. For security reasons mainly. Also who wants to be reminded at my age?

Happy birthday buddy. (what are you 38 or something?  ) I have never celebrated birthdays or anniversaries or valentines day. They seem like stupid performance awards given for just participating without dying. Predictably, my spouses found this attitude highly unsatisfactory. Here's fifty bucks, go have some fun. |
