So here we are 2020, fighting to get our right back from the king.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/supreme-court-new-jersey-religious-leaders-case-win-coronavirus-restrictions

It’s been a battle across the country that in virtually every state rights and freedoms were stolen under the guise of a public health issue and people have to go back to court to fight the fight all over again.

Business crippled and shut down permanently, people still unemployed and yet the self proclaimed kings of state stand by with their rules and decrees.

Thankfully in California there is a petition to recall king Newsome which I hear is gaining traction. Hopefully the people NJ and NY will soon begin to see the light.

The gym owners from south Jersey are still fighting and have rung up over $1M in “fines” for remaining  open. Not one person from their gym has tested positive.

Rights, freedoms, liberties have been stolen across the country our freedom to assemble and the freedom to work. Ever since the 2 week shut down, it’s been open to only those deemed worthy. Only those working for “essential businesses”, corporate supply chains. The little guys weren’t deemed necessary.

Enough is enough already.

But it shouldn’t need to be...and that’s the issue.

We the citizens should not be forced into court battles to fight these issues all over again. I can’t imagine the expense of what this litigation was.

When the government at any level decides to unilaterally restrict rights in The Constitution based on what they want and force the citizens to try to fight expensive legal battles the government will eventually win.

I'm in the choir Mike.  No argument here.

I was listening to someone today who was exposing on what we need to do to save our country.

It sort of boiled down to getting involved.  I have not attended a city council meeting here since I moved to this area 10 years ago.

I have not attended a county council meeting or a school board meeting.

I have written by legislators (both state and local and the President) but only one responds.

But the answer, this gentlemen said, is we must get involved.  We can no longer be the silent majority.  We will continue to lose if we continue to remain silent.

That means local stuff and communication with our legislators.  He said call.  I have sent email messages but I have never called. I have had my local legislator call me after I sent him an email but talking with him was just what you would expect talking to a politician.

I also send "mail".  Its not quick but sometimes I think there is nothing like the written word.

Getting involved would be great but work has always gotten in the way.

After I got married I began attending some town council meetings and board of Ed meeting and to be honest everything seemed to click on all cylinders. I do live in a pretty decent town with halfway decent schools. The few times there were issues I needed to voice a concern over I did at council meeting and things were resolved pretty quick regardless of political affiliation.

We are suppose,to be able to trust our elected officials to work for us so,we can continue to live, work, and provide for our families. We do no put them into office so they can turn around and fight us and make us take them to court over our Constitutionally guaranteed rights and freedoms.

Every morning and evening I go to this website;  https://www.nj.com/   It’s the biggest online resource for NJ news but very left leaning. The news of the decision by the Supreme Court has yet to hit their website but news regarding the new marijuana law is front page as is some black lady to become a judge and probably 10 articles on the recent snow storm.
