Anybody else quarantined but not sick?
This really sucks, I had primary contact with a co-worker, so they quarantined me until January 4th. Contact was December 10th. I got no symptoms, feel fine, but can’t go anywhere. Well, can’t get caught going anywhere since they’re paying me with some magic money fund called  “COVID Fund” from the gov’t.
I have been walking to the horse farm, my equine friends need their peppermints!
My test results are due by 10am tomorrow. Then I have to get another test before I can go back to work.
Guess I should be thankful I’m not sick, my son tested positive but has no symptoms so he’s holed up in his spare room away from kids & wife.

Friggin Kung flu,
Craig

Craig ask why your company isn’t following CDC guidelines. They say nothing  about a negative test to return to work.

I work for the town, and I pressed the bed wetting lib that is the town manager about not following the CDC guidelines. She told me that they care about me and my family and want me to have time to recover. Recover from what?? I feel great! But she does know what’s best for me... Roll Eyes Now there are 2 guys with 30+ years plowing experience out till January. I’m kinda hoping for a blizzard...
She did call me and say if it snowed and I felt ok, I could come in and plow  uglystupid2  Yeah, I’m quarantined but if they need me I can come in. Don’t think I’ll feel up to it.  Lmfao

As far as a neg test before returning to work, supposedly the town can require it. They pay I don’t care if I take another one.

Hey Craig, sorry about the situation you're in.

What does that mean?  The co-worker tested positive and you had close contact?  Did the co-worker have symptoms?

What is "primary contact"?

The Town Administrator in one of the towns I work is under "Quarantine" due to her mother's boyfriend testing positive.  uglystupid2

She, myself and 3 other town employees were all in the same room talking issues, a couple of days before, but no one else has been put in flu jail but her.

Does being quarantined mean you not supposed to go outside?

I think you should follow the guidelines of those that know how to take care of you and your family better than you do.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes  If we should get a blizzard, you should watch it next to the wood stove.

But, I know the missed OT will hurt. Smiley

So my wife was exposed by a coworker. Coworker absolutely had it and tested positive same day for it. They both were sent home. Coworker for being sick with it, my wife for being exposed. Told my wife she could come back to work on tbe 15th day after being exposed. Coworker was back to work on day 9 after testing positive. She did get over it fast and tested negative. So you are better off getting it rather than being exposed if you like your job and want to work.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

We've had 3 coworkers get it but they never send their partners home. But then again we're exposed every shift.

Hey Bill, “primary contact” means I was in a truck with him within 48 hours of him having symptoms. He was fine that day, but was sick within 2 days. So I’m in Q jail. We both wear masks when we’re in a truck together.
I talk to him daily, he doesn’t sound good, worse every day. He is on the pump for diabetes and has high BP, so he’s at risk. I dropped off a care package on his deck this morning. He’s the best friend & co-worker anyone could ask for, and I gotta say I’m scared for him. His wife has it now too.

I’m just playing their game, stay home mostly still walking couple times a day, alone...I have no symptoms after 14 days so I’m good. Town admin actually never told me the rules of quarantine, so I still go out, just limit contact with others.

Hope ya have a Merry Christmas all,
Craig
