Curious to know what your start up messages say on your 1800 Valkyries. If you bought one used, what did it say when your bought it. Did you reprogram it or turn it off?  Cool feature.

When I first purchased my bike, I learned of the custom message ability in the owners manual.  Being a Star Trek fan, I programmed "Engage" as Captain Picard would say.   Then a couple years later, I got a vanity tag that says "GOT 6" so I changed my dashboard message to "GOT 6?"  My local dealer got a kick out of it when she was in for her new tires this past summer!  coolsmiley

Some cool responses, thanks. Mine says "Godspeed"  I figured there would be many Valkyrie related or simply owners name related responses. Being limited to 8 letters keeps it short and sweat. I was considering Sixpack, Sixguns, sixjugs, sixshooter but can't bring myself to remove Godspeed. I feel I will have a safe journey throwing the leg over and seeing that each time I ride.

I don't want to fiddle around with it, as it's a lesson in patience navigating through the alphabet and when you overshoot or miss a letter, start over again. I think I'll mess with my friend that just bought one after me. He doesn't know about it and ALWAYS leaves his key in it. Evil
