I have a '98 with weathered master cylinders.  There are plenty of covers out there for just the top.   Does anyone have a suggestion for 1) replacement chrome parts or 2) Chrome covers.  I found the brake cover online, but nothing for the clutch side.  Will the VTX set fit the Valk?  I see the part numbers are the same for the brake master cylinder, but not the clutch.  I'm installing my new switchblock housings next week.  Won't lool good next to the old parts.

Thanks!  Rooser

You can have the cylinder chromed or you can polish it. Polishing is what I did (photos on my rebuild link in my sig). I stripped the lacquer off first and then started with 240 wet and dry paper and went all the way up to 1500 and then used a buffing wheel set with three different compounds. Final treated with a micro-crystalline wax to seal the surface and protect it. Not quite as shiny as chrome but something that you can do yourself.

Photo from my rebuild.

There are covers available that go completly over the clutch and brake master cylinders. Try Cruiser Customizing.com, or motoshop.net.
Afriend has them on a VTX and they look good.
