A lot of P.O.'d fans about pulling the regulars in the 3rd qtr against the Jets and losing the game.  Fans really wanted that "perfect season".
Coach wanted to "rest the regulars for the playoffs".  We'll see if the strategy was right.....

Not a Colts fan but was pulling for the undefeated season.  I think it was a DUMB move, you want to hit the playoffs peaking, not trying to figure out why your coach is a bonehead.

I can see why they did it but they did this before when they had a perfect season going. Then lost the first game of the playoffs. I think it makes the team loose there momentum. You could tell Manning wanted back in. How  would you feel if you drove down to Indy (in a snow storm to boot) to watch your team loose like that.  I would have been pissed. It was bad enough to watch at home..

Merry Christmas Jets fans. Hopefully the Bengals won't be as accomodating.

One comment given to the local television sportscast was that the fan would never buy tickets for the last 3 games again.
Another wanted a refund for the portion of the game not played.

A LOT of fans feel screwed out of a decent game, not to mention a win.

Coach can't win on this one, imagine if Manning broke his leg in the 4th quarter of a meaningless game (they already have home field through the playoffs). The same fans would have been screaming about him being in the game. New England tried the perfect record thing and played all their starters so they had momentum going into the playoffs, it didn't bother the Giants. If Colts win the Super Bowl no one will care, if they lose everyone will blame the coach and this game. I guess that is why they make the big bucks.

Heard on the news today that many fans are demanding a refund for the game. Can't say that I blame them.

Don't think as a coach for all the years with my kids that I ever just gave away a game by pulling key players.  Doesn't make any sense to me.  I always told my kids and teams to give it all you've got on the field.  If you got beat by a better team, so be it, but give it your best shot.

It is so hard to have an undefeated season and just letting it slip away is nuts in my book.

Now the Colts coach can defend his actions by saying look at New England, they just lost their best receiver and a major part of their offense Wes Welker. He blew out his knee in a game that had no effect on the play off seating. Why was he still in the game?  I guess so the fans could get their moneys worth. Hope they can win in the play offs with out him.

I coached alot of high school football and wrestling and never played my players based on what the fans (who by the way are the parents in high school) or the players thought was best for them or their kids. My goal was to do what was best for the team and to teach the students that was what being a teammate was about.

I am now pulling for the Colts to win the Super Bowl, ( I am a Gaint fan so my team is out), they may not but I doubt not playing Manning for this last game and a half will be the reason they lose.
