Does any one know if a vtx 1300c tail light assembly can be mounted to a interstate in place of the block off plate ? Much cheaper and easier to find.
 Thanks in advance

One of the 1100 shadow tail lights is the same unit. Maybe the ace tourer model.

You mean a standard/tourer tail light to install in an intestate knockout? (the interstate brake lights are in the truck)

Some of the other model Hondas use very similar taillights (identical lens), but the housing is slightly wrong for the Valk.  Some have made them work OK, but not a perfect fit.

New parts weren't that bad ($)... when I ordered them anyway.  Also order a short wiring harness part too.

The trunk lights are not bright enough wanting to remove the block off plate and replace with a light. The vtx1300C looked like it could be made to fit but wasn't sure. The 1100 shadow appears to be close.

I agree on adding rear lights on interstates.

I have stock OE parts standard tail light in the knockout (with a big LED array instead of an 1157 bulb).

And a controller under the side cover that makes my signals into run, turn & brake lights (with standard 1156 bulbs), but you have to find red lenses for the signals for constant-on running lights.

EDIT:  And a run-brake LED strip across the bottom of my license plate bracket.

the shadow ace is the exact light. Go on ebay and type in honda shadow ace brakelight there are many under $50.

That is true, but, you will have to change the way it bolts up. It is just a matter of cutting off the mount bolts, and bending the bracket to make it work with new bolts.
Or, you can order the bracket from a standard/tourer and use that one.
I have done it several times, it is a very easy mod.
