Many times wise counsel is ignored for many reasons and for the detriment of those who would not listen and those who would listen but were dragged along knowing what would happen. We are all in this country under the same government and the same political system, corruption does not allow the citizens to get a fair shake at their own governance. It pollutes the waters, destroys pride, stops many from doing the right thing and allows unjust rules and laws that all must follow.
It actually starts with the leverage of those in office being pressed by those who want their way and have the money and power to dictate or blackmail their way into power.
Ignoring FBI And Fellow Republicans, Trump Continues Assault On Mail-In Voting

"The fraud and abuse will be an embarrassment to our Country," Trump tweeted Wednesday.
On Monday, he claimed without evidence that mail ballots may purposely be manipulated to be sent to Democratic areas and not Republican areas. And on Sunday, he decried a system of ballot return that the federal government calls "secure and convenient" in official documents.
