There was NOT 5 cases of homicide, negligent or otherwise. 2 people were killed. The 3 others died of medical problems. God, the disingenuous information is rampant.
What were the medical problems ? Some government entity reported them as casualties of the event. I assume the cops or medical people ?
No. The news media reported them as casualties of the event. It's not appropriate or legal for cops or medical people to release a person's medical information. If they were homicides, the police could release that. The fact that they did not, indicates that they weren't homicides. With a crowd that huge with mostly older folks, there is bound to be some medical issues. One family released some information, stating that the man had a heart attack. As Oss said, it was a long walk. The man could have had a heart attack there, doing a charity walk, or even walking his dog.
Edit: Or even banging on an old guy's door who is furiously typing away on his iPad.
This is what info I got from a CNN article.
Three other people who had come from out of state died of "medical emergencies" during the riot,
police said."One adult female and two adult males appear to have suffered from separate medical emergencies, which resulted in their deaths," Contee said. "Any loss of life in the District is tragic and our thoughts are with anyone impacted by their loss."
They were identified as Benjamin Philips, 50, of Ringtown, Pennsylvania; Kevin Greeson, 55, of Athens, Alabama; and Rosanne Boyland, 34, of Kennesaw, Georgia. The three were on the grounds of the Capitol when they experienced their medical emergencies, Contee said.
What's your point? Like I said, they died of medical issues, they were not killed. The cop did not call them casualties of the event, that was the media. He did not release their medical information. Thanks for confirming what I said.
