I got this bike in a trade with a friend who wanted some of my Valkyrie parts. It wasn’t running when I got it but was very complete and I thought I could get it going. Life intervened as usual and I sold it about 2 years later knowing I was going to be making a move but not knowing if I would ever have space or time to complete. Years later I can see it was a wise move on my part.

I don’t know if I’ll ever get her back to her glory days.

I guess it could be considered my glory days too, or at least as close as I ever got cooldude

I think after you get all done with your home remodeling, you should take a month long break. And then, jump in with both feet and fix her up. She will likely never look as good as those pics. But, you can get her close.  cooldude

Glory days with the bike, I was a late bloomer!

Carbon fiber composite fuel tank made by Advanced Composites Engineering (ACE) out of California. They were called a 9 gallon capacity tank and they were fitted with a bung to accept the stock Honda peacock. I think the most I remember putting in at one time was just over 8 gallons. I could ride until my butt gave out, not because I needed fuel. I had the tank custom painted in my stock Valkyrie color scheme with some very faint ghost flames. Got a lot of compliments over the years and a lot of ribbing over its size. Ultimately sold the tank due to it developing a pinhole leak on the underside of the tank.

Another shot of the tank after it was first installed. I really liked the small flush mount aluminum gas cap, no glare from the sun reflecting off of it and no key needed to open the cap although it was lockable. As you can see this was before I had the bags painted the two tone.

Another shot from a different angle, that sucker was wide!

Some consolidation going on, I don’t mind, it was an attempt to give Britman a hand. Going through some old pics that had a story to go with them seemed interesting from my end. I sure not so much on the other side of things.

That orange bike looks similar to a SL-125, only newer...

A few years ago I went to Sturgis and test rode quite a few manufacturers bikes.

One was a Kawasaki 1,000cc.

I had lusted after one ever since I was a motorcycle messenger in London. I did use a GPz 550 for work for a year and thought it was great.

I did ride a Boss Hoss trike. All that was available.

I didn't get to ride a regular Boss Hoss. It's still on my bucket list.
