It appears most of the old individual websites many of the early riders listed are no longer fully active, if at all. I can't find my download of the list that has all the various substitute/crossover parts, can't recall if it was Jeff K or just who it was that made it up and members added to it as time passed.

For now I'm specifically interested in the section on thermostats and the associated gasket which I believe was from a Volvo....cheaper at Autozone than Honda. The t'stat I'm interested in I've used on the old Valk and worked great. The list shows both the stock version and also shows one with the same temp but in a hi-flo model. If someone has that list saved can you email it to me at: stuffy402@gmail.com

In my project of getting the Trike ready to travel, I've completed all I'm planning on doing to the front, i.e., belts, timing wheel, major cleaning, mounting my bar grille from the old bike to the radiator, swapping the tire/wheel. Now I have the tank and airbox off the trike, then pulled the carbs only to find a puddle of coolant on top of the motor. It's evident it has been oozing a bit for some time coming from the hose connection atop the t'stat housing. The surrounding bolt heads and the hose clamp itself are covered in dried crud which I'm in the process of cleaning off. I seem to recall the list I'm missing also shows a satisfactory subsitute upper radiator hose. I had to pull the air dam off which isn't necessary to remove the carbs, but when I saw the mess it had to come out so I can address the problem. Naturally it will go back in before reinstalling the carbs which will come out of the old bike. But for now....I really need that list, can't imagine where I might have saved it.

Thanks much!  cooldude

That's it, thanks loads...both of you. Now I'll save it in ALL CAPS plus print it out and put in my 3-ring notebook of various Valk how-to stuff.  cooldude
