Hi, John here.

I am asking for recommendations/suggestions on a vehicle transport service.

I did use the 'SEARCH' feature on the forum but I guess I just don't know the correct wording to type in the search box.

The vehicle in question is a 1984 Ford Bronco II. It is located in Spring Hill, FL (just north of Tampa) and I need it brought to my home in Reidsville, NC.

The Bronco is not driveable.

Thanks in advance for any help,
John

So many colors to choose from yet so few stand out

Well John, I did this for about 30 years and still have the trucks and trailers to get it done.   If you don’t find anyone else,  give me a shout.

I've been working through this very issue to have a motorcycle shipped from Colorado to Tennessee.

https://www.uship.com/ is a free service that allows shippers to bid on your move, I had great results with it.

I know I used something about 2.5 years ago to ship my Valk from NC to KC KS. I'm sure it is similar in concept to uship.com, but I don't think that was the one I used....

If it were me I’d rent one of those UHaul thingys and tow it up there   Worst thing you may have to remove the driveshaft if you only get the single axle dolly but on that vehicle it should be fairly easy

Not knowing the condition of the Bronco, I'd agree assuming you have a vehicle capable of doing this.
Remember that engine horsepower isn't nearly as important as braking horsepower.   Don't ask me how I know this.  Wink

Rams, Reb, Scooperhsd, & Chrisj CMA,

Thank you all for your responses and suggestions.

I found the uShip.com site that was suggested and filled out the necessary info page. When I checked my email this morning I had 6 bids from transporters who do this and the bid range was from $629 for a low to $1250 for a high.

I will sort through them as they ask questions and as I ask questions and make a decision from that.

Again,
Thank You

Chrisj CMA, I don't know if you remember me or not but you bought a swingarm, final drive, rear wheel combination from me a few years back.

If my Chevy truck wasn't 25 years old with 250,000 miles on it I'm fairly certain that I would borrow my friend's wheel dolly and travel to FL and retrieve the Bronco II myself. I can't take a chance of a tow of that distance (700 + miles) causing transmission damage on my Chevy. I need it to last me about 10 more years.

Hey John,  I still have that final drive as a spare. Good luck with your quest
