"He said ratchet straps were tied around his ankles and neck, and he was hung upside down from a door," Lawler explained. "He said he was hit with a wooden broom, and handcuffed and tied to a large moving dolly. He also said he didn't get to eat on a regular basis as punishment."

Police say the boy was 20 pounds underweight.

Over the years I’ve read many stories on the atrocities toward children and I’ll admit there were times my dad may have stepped over the line a little far with his temper when my brother and I were young but never could I imagine what this kid went through.

I’ve read so many reports over the years of adults doing so many bad things to children it’s sickening.

I have to wonder is it a mental deficiency or plain evil.

The short answer is yes, it is.

In cases like this I believe in an eye for an eye, submit the parents to what the child went through times 2.

I'm sure this man will get his real soon...adults doing bad things to him. Probably both mental deficiency and evil. If you don't align yourself with truth, you are easily mislead. As is the world we live in.

I think he deserves much worse. As well as the Mom who stood by and let it happen.

When they get to prison , they will learn what abuse is. Prison has a way to treat someone that abuses / torchers children. It is not the management , it is the inmates. They will be lower than the ground under whale poop.
Child and elder abuse is not a charge that sets well with prison population.  Lets all hope and pray for "an eye for an eye".

I've heard the same thing but, I would suggest that child and elder abuse does not sit well with any civilized person.

That is not to suggest that I don't believe in discipline for children but, when it turns to abuse, the distributor of that abuse should feel the fury of God.

Probably the worst I ever felt was when my son did something really stupid and his stupid dad blistered his butt hard enough to leave bruises.   When I realized what I had done, I felt lower than that whale poop da prez mentioned.  That was the last time I ever did that.   Found other ways after that to teach him right from wrong.  Learned a lot myself from that also.
