This is the 1500 tech board, I bet you're asking about your 1800...  Smiley

I changed my handlebars, and I can see great now with the OEM mirrors.
I think you'd have to change mirrors or at least mirror stalks t
see better with the OEM handlebars...

Make or search for an extension.  If not available over the counter , not that hard to build.

I didn't find anything for the 1800 valk specifically, but I found several variations of these Honda mirror extensions (for other models) that looked like a nice strong design, and both up and out.  Maybe some like it for the 1800 can be found(?), if you want to keep your mirrors instead of replace them.

As opposed to these.

Reverse the stems if one part of it is longer. This style mirror on the older Valks lends itself to adapt other aftermarket brand stems.

Paul I didn't spend a long time looking.

Did you ask them if they could refer you anywhere?

Longer stem replacement mirrors are probably available, just need the same thread pitch hookup.

Or longer stalks for the OE mirrors.

I appreciate the response you make as I do to all who respond to questions I ask.

They talk about hating their mirrors on the 1800 tech board...
Someone put some Victory mirrors on and liked it. Someone
else put some Suzuki Volusia (?) mirrors on.

Fitted them today.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075TFPPQ4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Worth every penny. Now I can use the whole mirror to see behind me rather than just the outside half.

Very well made product.

Check out the Rivco mirrors with the turn signals on the front side. The arms are longer, moving them outward, possibly enough to make the difference you're looking for.

I ordered, did you run into clearance problems on the right side with the throttle cable?

Thank you

I just got this done.
This is the part I bought: https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/bike-master-mirror-extensions?utm_campaign=order_confirmation&utm_content=Product&utm_medium=email&utm_source=RevZilla
Great improvement in visibility and I don’t hate it aesthetically

I just throw this in. My 1500 has what looks like mirrors off of a VTX. I have zero problem with visibility. I don't see my shoulders at all. Nice big view off what's coming up behind me.

When in doubt,  just look back over your shoulder.......I only glance at the mirrors to see what is coming up behind me on a long stretch.

But in congested area's?  My head is turning like an Owl's!!!

Half the time I cannot see in the mirrors anyway.  Either they are blurry.....or eventually vibrate out of adjustment.

Mirrors are VERY overrated on a Motorcycle!  Ride it like you own it.     Wink

That's good advice. Britman spent years as a motorcycle delivery person on the crazy streets
of London England... the only thing in the mirrors of a 1800 Valkyrie is your shoulders, because
of the silly handlebars.

I'm not sure it's good advice at all. I use my mirrors all the time. They never vibrate to where I can't see or out of adjustment. Sometimes I bump them in the garage and have to adjust them going down the road.

I've done it for years, I always look over my shoulder to see what's in the lane next to me. Immediately before I switch lanes.  I use the mirrors for more of long range or when I stop and want to see if the car coming up is going to stop as opposed to run into me.

At this point it's just force of habit, got that habit when I lived in a more city location.

If you don't do a head check before moving lanes good luck to you.

I just bought these mirror extenders, the silver ones that is.They do what was described but I would still like my mirrors  mounted on my tourer windshield so I still don't have to look away from the road, any suggestions for mirrors mounted to the windshield.I looked but haven't found any.

I think there would be too much vibration. You wouldn’t be able to see anything, unless you were going less than 25.

These are stupid expensive, and I've bought two sets for two different bikes. They are some of the best money I've ever spent. https://saeng.com/product/quick-scans/
