Taking the trunk off of interstate, but would like to keep the chrome rails that bolt the bike to the trunk.  I have seen a chrome center piece that joins those two chrome brackets and looks nice.  Could someone tell me what that is called and maybe a link to buy those ?

Thank you

Dont know of one that was made for the Interstate. There was one mad for the standard/tourer but wouldn’t work on Interstate and those haven’t been available for some yrs.

If you mean this thing:

https://www.bigbikethings.com/Cruiser_Bar/p4325477_16651318.aspx

You can still get them from the bigbikethings guy, but they won't
do  right on an Interstate, the chrome fender rails are different.
You could get STD/Tourer fender rails and then it would work.

I removed my trunk and added a back rest and rack by swapping to standard fender supports that I got used for $50.  That is also your easiest solution as Hubcapsc related to mounting the bar. Easy simple and no more to anything.

Well I stand corrected. I thought they were no longer available.

No, not like this just a small flat rack that goes across the chrome rails on the interstate.

Appreciate it

Thank you

It sounds like you're asking about a flat rack that goes specifically where the trunk would mount.  I've seen a couple similar to that but they're custom made y the owners.  I don't believe there is one commercially available.

The little (tubular) solo racks that go where the back seat goes are no longer made, and are largely useless for carrying anything significant.  I have one on my trunkless interstate.

If you want a big flat rack to sit on the trunk supports, you have to make it yourself.

Some one had a couple of home made racks painted black for sale a while back.  They looked good in the pictures. Both had brake lights on the back of the rack. If that interest you, let me know, I'll look the guy up.
