Has anyone used the Danali PowerPoint Hub 2 to connect accesories? What are your views good or bad?

The reviews seem to review two things: 1. lack of water/moisture resiliency and 2. weak solder joints.

The $135 seems a little high for only six circuits.

I created my own Power Block using the TE Connectivity to make a 12 circuit setup:

Here are the parts I used:
  • TE Connectivity Fuse Holder #1587335-1
  • Cover #1587335-1
  • Terminals #1241388-2

Uses Mini ATM fuses and relays (see diagram for part numbers)
This can be tucked in the compartment behind the battery if there is nothing else there.  I tucked this in the space in front of the battery and above the OEM relays. 
Total cost was about $70 for parts and new wiring where needed.

Easter Beaver PC-8 for me too.  Also have one of son's valk.  I had a cheap fuse block before and it left me stranded.  Learned once again that you get what you pay for.  The EB unit is well made.  Get the connector system for it and you have everything you need for all your accessories.

I used an automotive weather-resistant auxiliary fuse box made by Painless.  It has 3 ignition hot circuits switched by an integral 40A relay.  I use waterproof relays on my individual loads including Stebel horn, driving lights, and GPS/XM radio.

They make bigger auxiliary fuse boxes should you have more loads.  Mine is mounted on a plexiglas plate under the right side cover.

Just another option.
