There are a few VRCC members from up north that are looking to come to Texas the end of March and want to ride the three sisters.  Any one else interested in a group ride?  They expect to arrive in central Texas maybe March 28 and spend the week.  Please let me know if you are interested in riding with us and I will see about making accommodations in the area for our group!  TxDeb

it's not a bad ride.it used to be a bit of a speedfest for some..middle of nowhere  desert steep mountain passes and high speed sweepers...some of the sports car magazines have been out there shaking some cars out--the LEO's have noticed and are far more abundant....Fredricksburg is a destination of itself with the Nimitz museum,shops,wineries....Luckenbach (of Waylon and Willie fame)is a few miles east of town and attracts hundreds daily ...it's a wealthy older adult crowd..wineries abound--lots of limosines do a brisk business...you sort of have to try hard to get noticed..they like money and good times to keep rolling along cooldude

Wish I could come.  My Mother's Family was from Medina and I haven't been back for several years.  Unfortunately, it is right in the middle of tax season.  You could always stop by the Love Creek Orchards and have a great piece of apple pie.  Not much else left in town.

But, tax season has been extended a month I'm told.   At least for the feds, not sure about individual states.

Wow!!
Looks like the weather is going to cooperate for y'all, at least for today!
Might be some showers tomorrow but hey, that's part of riding, right?

For those of us that couldn't make it, we need to see pictures of the ride!

Missed this one...

But!

I've got a spot reserved on the Rio Frio August 8th through the 13th.  I'll be riding the Sisters in the AM and floating the Frio in the PM.

I'll be happy to ride with anyone who ventures out.

(Fred, give Chantal my best and hope she heals up fast!  Maybe by August.)

First off our group wants to thank Rancher Bob for being our tour guide.  We were able to travel most of the sisters roads twice as well as several other roads.  The road to Kickapoo state park was very nice also #674  just out of Rock Springs.  Thanks to Texas Deb for our cage tour to San Antonio to see Alamo and Riverwalk then off to  Luckenbach to be somebody, and a cold beer.  We have now traveled to Ozarks for a few more days of riding then heading back to the hopefully gradually warming frozen tundra of Minnesota.

Be well.

Enjoyed riding the three sisters area with you guys.   Texas is a big place and our Hill Country and three sisters areas offers some pretty good motorcycle riding.   While I live here along Ranch Road 335 I don't get many chances to ride with others so it was a real treat for me to ride with you guys.  Hope you made it home safely.   Bob
