Beautiful east Tennessee ( GOD'S Country )

« on: January 30, 2021, 06:53:56 AM »

Finally got some wind yesterday . It was somewhat brisk but the Baker Airwings and Gerbing heated gear did great. Picture taken at Norris Lake in East Tennessee ( God's Country ).

Same spot different day . Park Road dead ends at the lake very nice road with plenty of curves.

I like the 2nd pic better - LOL    Grin

If I ever come down there to TN, possibly with family in car in late April,   I could ask you if I could borrow one of the cycles and we go riding together - LOL    Wink  Just kidding...

I promise I will try to keep up with you or at least try...   2funny

Great pic, Wing looks good! Nice to see a SJ ride post again cooldude
What do the temps get down to in God's country this time of year? It's funny how us Northerners just assume it's warm all the time in the South... kinda like the other way around....been in the low 40's here with no snow and clear roads for weeks and I've been getting out every couple days.
For me maybe it's because everytime I've been down to the Southern states for work or other throughout the years, it's always been warm... or Hot (just lucky I guess? Wink)

40s thru 70s perfect riding weather but could not stand cycle riding much below 38 degrees.  When temps get into the mid 30's for highs here in WI you talking snow like we are suppose to be getting tonight 6 inches and Thursday another 6 inches or more or so they say?

01 Valk is sleeping in the unheated garage Put it on the smart charger as it will be 12 degrees for a spell

Blizzard looks likely for tomorrow into Monday so no riding unless I take the police bike out tomorrow or later today.  Asked Gman last night if he wanted to go riding   Shocked   was his response

That is my "holy crap its cold bike"  Heated grips are the bomb

Thursday night a friend of my son's and I are heading to my son's place in NOLA.  I've had enough of this cold, wet, white crap for a while.  Only bad thing is I won't have a bike in NOLA, I guess I'll just have to lay around the pool, golf, and soak up the sun.  ACME Oyster House here I come!!

Hey Joe, hit me up to discuss after IZ trip if you are serious about going.

Hey Skin do yourself a favor and skip Acme and walk across the street to Felix’s. Much better.

That is just MHO. But There was a line around the block one time I was there waiting to get a seat at Acme. I look acroos the stret and see this local place named Felix’s so I sez to myself self we ain’t waiting in this line. Went over and had a great meal and when done there were several still in line where I was waiting for Acme.

The ACME in Mandeville closed for good last year before the COVID outbreak   I don’t understand why it was always packed in there or you had to wait to get a seat

The one in Metairie does good business, we've had reasonable said to be seated, but never excessive.
