Apparently Dale had cancer of some sort and had been battling it for 4 years.  He requested that condolences or donations be made to the museum to help keep it going.
I visited a couple of times.  Neat place, his son seemed to be knowledgeable also so I suspect it will continue.

Sorry to hear of Dale's passing. I got to talk with him for a few minutes during my 1st visit to the Museum. I hope that his son is able to keep it going for a long time to come.

Undecided Bummer, I met him on a visit to his place in Maggie Valley. Sure sorry to hear of his passing. Neat guy, he knew and loved his bikes. I'm sure his son will continue his dad's dream.  coolsmiley

I hope his son can keep it going as well...it takes a very special kind of person with amazing knowledge and drive to create and support something as amazing as this place.
