Rob,

Yeah, but you did get out! Nothing else like it, is there? I can easily imagine a big ol' grin plastered all over your face, so... Congrats!!! I'm leaning heavily towards seeking some similar therapy myself!

I really like that app, how many miles and how much time to complete? I zoomed the map out and was surprised to see where you are located. Shows how geographically challenged I am!

Finally, a picture....and it's not the Blue bike. I'm so dissapointed   Wink

I like how that app is colour-specific...whole lot of Brown  going on down there. Have ridden in Nevada and around Vegas towards GC and Death Valley. Hot, flat, and Brown...other than the Hot I actually enjoyed it, as have I when crossing the plains going West to East, being such a departure from what I'm used to up here. Has its own sense of beauty for sure.

Its been years or maybe decades since I have seen some of the roads you rode on.  Brings back memories.

I did slip out here for a 100 plus mile enjoyable ride.   It was in the teens when I woke up with heavy clouds.   They cleared and the sun warmed us up to an enjoyable mid 40's by noon.   No pic's, just rode.  Did see 20 plus mule deer and some swans with Canada geese.    70 degrees would have made it a lot more enjoyable.   Cheesy

Nothin' like winter in Arizona's low country cooldude  No flashing "Icy Road" signs. coolsmiley

Turned down a job many years ago in Bullhead City at their hospital, when on the day of my interview, I arose and walked outside of the hotel room at 8 AM to a temperature of 90* and rising to a high of 110* at about 2 PM.  That temp plus the humidity from the Colorado pushed the "don't think so" meter into the red zone.  I believe it was in late June or early July.
Surprised by the number of hay fields around the area until it was explained to us that the area's native population utilized their land and aquifer rights to irrigate large tracts of their property growing some beautiful alfalfa hay.  Land was pretty cheap back in 1985 there, subdivisions being constructed, and people moving into the Arizona side en masse.  Haven't been back since and I figure that it's been built up pretty deep.  Besides the low wages they offered and Laughlin just being across the bridge, I would have been broke in a couple of years of being too close to the devil's craps tables.

Still though, the thought of warm winters (although the locals said the winds could be ferocious at times) on horseback and motorcycle was inviting. Smiley  Still is. Cool

Nice riding area for you I presume.

A good loop with a snack and home for dinner.  Swell.
