Excessive comfort breeds weakness. PttP

We lost two members this week.

Thursday Dave Fette, Bigbuck to the VRCC, suffered a horrible accident at work.  Dave underwent surgeries to save his life but this morning Dave slipped away.

Dave has not posted on the General board for some time.  He has been a member of the VRCC since 2010 and very active among Kansas members.  Dave was helpful to many as needs became known.  That many includes me.  I am at a loss to express what this sudden death of a fine friend and great family man means.  It still seem unreal.

My heart and prayers go out for Dave's wife, Pam, and his family.

I hear you Carl.  I'm at such a loss today.  I knew Dave, but not as well as you.  I pray for his family in this difficult time.

In addition to BigBF and Dave, Hard 6 (JP Sonnier) is in a bad way with his cancer.  I believe he's been put on hospice care.

Do you think God is curious about the sudden influx of prayers from VRCC members?

Very sorry to read this.  Condolences to his family and close friends such as yourself.  Tough to lose those who have made our lives better by simply being themselves.

Yes, I was told that Hard6 has been placed on hospice.  These have been tough times and it seems we as a community, a family, are being pummeled with additional loss.

I don't think God is ever surprised about anything but I believe that His heart hurts for our hurt.

We all hang from that gossamer thread.  Seizing the day is more than just a bumper sticker.
Strength to his survivors.

A prayer offered for this gentleman and peace to his spirit at this journey's end with another journey beginning; released from the trials and tribulations of this world and free to roam the universe again.
