Bombardier has announced that they will no longer produce the Lear jet after the close of 2021. They said the market for the smaller sized jet is going away. They will still make larger jets that the super rich enjoy. They also say they will continue to support the existing jets in service.

Growing up in the 60’s when they were first introduced, I always thought of them as super cool.

Didn't know they were still being made, I got rid of all my Lear Jets many years ago...

Yes, another interesting tidbit I picked up was that Lear was also the developer of 8 track players for automotive use.

lol...that brings back memories, good old 8 tracks. Half the back seat was taken up with faux alligator skin tape cases, and just when you were in the groove with your favorite song playing while driving into town with your arm out the window lookin' cool, the track would change in the middle of the song crazy2
Wilf Carter & Montana Slim...Nice cooldude All my 8 tracks are gone, but I've still got boxes of 33's and even some 78's of all my old C&W favorites Smiley

lol, I still got a whole box of 8 tracks and a working player. Back in the day I had a Muntz 4 track with some 4 track tapes. They were before the 8 track.
Makes me sad,, I was going to buy a learjet next year. Now i can't

Might get one of the small left overs for cheap. Then I would need a pilot and that would cost a plenty. I would rather buy a Loche helicopter.
