Bill's wife, Beth, does not want to have a big service because of Corona/COVID.  What we're thinking instead is a drive-by MC parade at his house in Phoenix.  Each MC in the procession would drop a flower in the yard, that she can use to make into a huge bouquet for his funeral.

Sucks having to do it this way instead of an escort.  But, since his Bill, Beth, and both his parents have had COVID they have a deep concern for it.

We're tentatively planning March 6, but she doesn't know yet when he will be sent from TX to Phx.

If you have a desire to participate, hold that date for now, and I'll keep you updated if that changes.

UPDATE:
BIG BF RIDE BY MEMORIAL.
Mar 6, 1150: Lunch: Brennan's 3510 E Bell Rd, Phx.
Mar 6 1300: Meet for Ride-by: Harkin's Theatre 3420 E Bell Rd, Phx.

You can join us for lunch or just meet for the ride-by. I would have everyone meet at Brennan's, but I have no idea how many will show up, so Harkin's is a safer choice.

After the initial request for 1300, Beth asked that ride-by after 1300 (that's the arrival time for the service). So we'll be KSU at 1310.

That's a great idea!
Also, if people want to organize a ride tribute at the same time and post video and/or pics.

Update!  The family is requesting the drive by on 3/6 at 1300.  This will be during their family's Celebration of Life.

We can meet at the Harkin's theater parking lot at 3420 E Bell Rd.  If there's any interest, we could meet for lunch before or after.

For those that can't be in Phoenix, there have been few suggestions to participate:
~ Organize a local ride for the same date and time; post pics and/or videos.
~ Do a solo memorial ride; post pics and/or videos.
~ Everyone across the world starting their bikes and honking at the same time (3/6 at 1300).

I doubt I will have time for the lunch. What time at the parking lot ?

1300.  I'm waiting for feedback regarding lunch.  If lunch before, we'll leave from there... I'll let you know where.

For those along the way between Duncanville and Phoenix, you will have an opportunity to see or ride with Bill's rig as it makes it's way back to Phoenix.  His parents will be following it so you can pay respects to them in that way (ride by and wave). Route will be I-20 to I-10, mostly.  We will post a link to a GPS tracker that Rams will have on during the drive.  Anticipated the ride will start 3/3 or 3/4 and will take 2 days.

If my local roads are clear, I will plan for a ride at 1300 on March 6 to represent BC, and will also try to round up a couple of other "locals" to meet up. It's the least we can do to show our respect to someone who did so much for the Valkyrie community, helping to keep these bikes on the road.

Just returned from the Big BF Memorial ride by.   We didn't just ride by.   We stopped and congregated, spoke with the family and friends, shared stories of Bill, it was a nice farewell.   Bill will be missed by all.
I signed their attendance page, wrote something close to this.

Bill was a friend to all, he was one of the kindest people I've ever met, he was respected, and loved by all, he will be missed.  I haver never met a person who was thought better of by everyone that knew him.

I should have read what other people wrote. I didn’t expect to stop or write. I’m glad we did. I appreciate his family having us. It was good to see you Ron (and everybody else)  Smiley

So, as Rams said, it wasn't just a ride-by after all.  The family had set up a display of pics, the urn, a guest book.  After visiting and all, there was a balloon release.  Farewell BigBF, you are already missed.

Excellent!

We should all be so lucky to have a send off like that.

Although, luck had nothing to do with it; BF worked his magic on people every day I believe.
