Hey all: I have 97 Standard and am in the market for front and rear rotors and calipers. Interested in very good used or where anyone suggests the best priced new ones. Not chines knock-offs, thank you. I know there are some differences on the 97's in bearings, etc, so want to be sure on fit if someone has used.

Thanks for all responses

All Valkyrie front rotors fit every Valkyrie. You need to buy the older style rear disk if you have the original 97 wheel. The new thicker in the center disk will not work in the rear

go lighter and reduce some un-sprung weight. sometimes searching for one of the other bikes will bring a lower price. a lot of listings, they like to attach a premium $$ because of the word "Valkyrie".
I'm running a lighter GL1500 rear rotor.

There's two kinds of Valkyrie rear wheels. The kind on all the Interstates and all Valkyries
starting in 2000... and the kind on Tourers and Standards up to 1999. I don't know nothin'
about that giant rotor list, but even Valkyrie rotors don't interchange unless you bother to
match them to whatever year wheel you have...

I've read that before.

here is my experience.   I have a '98.  picked up a later yr factory polished wheel with the rotor. It installed with zero problem. the newer rotor is heavier/thicker than the '98 rotor. I replaced it with a lighter GL1500 rotor which lighter than the '98 rotor, bolted right on, zero problem with installation.

the list is all bikes that use the same rear rotor size and bolt circle as the valkyrie.

OP: don't blame me if you buy some cheap wonky rotor based on
stuff you read here and it doesn't fit your motorcycle.  cooldude

Muscrat.  I have some Calipers I am in the middle of cleaning up now.  Have an old bike that I am parting out and those are not spoken for yet.

I like non-road-rashed used calipers... they can generally be cleaned
up and refurbished good-as-new...

Black rear calipers came off an Interstate. I can't imagine that they're
not interchangeable with a Standard/Tourer but they are different...
smaller pistons.

OP: what happened to your calipers that they can't be refurbished?
