The Great Republic of Texas - Dallas

« on: January 01, 2010, 11:37:07 AM »

I got the thought to share this heads up with you from "Valker" - Eric from Pampa, TX on the 2 Wheeled Texans site. Are you here too, Eric?

Put your odometer reading in your signature or a ms.doc, or in this thread so you can find it this time next year. Hopefully you are all out putting on the first miles of the new year. I am right behind you, just as soon as I rewire the gps to an unswitched hot.

Happy New Year / Decade! ~Jeff

Eric~ As small as the Pampa (corrected from Tampa) area is... any chance you know any of the Wall family? I went to East Texas State with a gal whose  maiden name was Wall, Donna - from Tampa. She would be in her low fifties if she is still sucking in oxygen. No, it was not like that. She was an old girlfriend's best girl friend. Honest. ~Jeff

I grew up in Pampa. Most of my family is still there. I went to school with a Donna Wall.  Course, with only about 166 in our 1975 class, you kinda knew most people. Had the pleasure of meeting Valker this summer. Hope to do lots of riding this year, and not just back and forth to work.

Yes, Ma'am. I have been less than proactive on "adopting her out". I guess I am attached enough that I do not want to list her "For Sale". Of coarse, you and Mark are pre-qualified if you are in the market. ~Jeff

I love it when the world gets a little smaller/more familiar. I don't really have a need to contact Donna, but love it when we have someone from a past life in common, GL. She was my girlfriend's best friend in school at Commerce. I am still thankful for all I learned from the small town atmosphere and the folks there.

Good luck on that more riding thang. We should probably have a ride to Armadillo for lunch one of these days, just not today! Brrrr. ~Jeff

I have not ridden in 10 days, getting a little shaky, but no way I will ride on ice or when there is patchy ice still left at the intersection. Still cold as hell here today. Hope to get her out Sunday for a bit before the Dallas game.

99 orange/black std starting 2010 at 59,727.  Not planning another Iron Butt this year that would add to that. But RALLY SEASON is coming.  Gonna make sure those don't go by without my presence.
