Long time to visit this site.  I Had a fellow contact me today through my old Valkyrie website.   He was looking for a man with wrenches.  I sent him the URL for this Fla VRCC site.  From scanning some of the posts we apparently just lost a good guy.  My condolences.

Well I am still without a set of handlebars to hold and I guess I should keep it that way.  It is so hard to not climb back on.  Of course it's been so long now that I might hurt myself if I started back up.  (grin)

Well just thought I would say hi to those who know me.  For those of you who don't know me I am the unknown rider who sent out the first call to over 600 Florida riders to meet up.  First to respond was DDT and eventually probably well over a hundred riders (not all at the same time) showed up on Saturdays for greasy pig-parts and a ride of 15 minutes to 150 miles depending on the location of the pig and the location of the rider.  That was one of the best chapters of my life and I am grateful to many people like Debbie and Fred, Terry and Iris, TJ, DDT, Jimmy in Eustus, Red in Tampa and many many more, some I can't even remember their names.  Thanks for the fun.    And thank you BBQ Chefs.   We had great times.
From one old rider to you all; Ride often and ride safe, You never know when it will stop.

PS.  I have a few basic Valkyrie Accessories if anyone is interested.  ring me up.. 352-861-8788 mark

Thanks for checking in Mark  cooldude cooldude

It's always good to hear the stories of how things got started and how it lead to life long friendships, I am sure there are plenty of great stories to tell.
I did have the pleasure to meet Debbie and Fred who for some reason Debbie started calling "Dirt"  Grin,
also got to meet TJ and Terry (once and he was riding a Rocket III) and cannot leave out DDT who every once in awhile will surprise us and show up for a RTE.

We did loose Bill "Grumpy" Gurney about 4 months ago and Bill "Big BF" Ferguson also left us recently, two great losses to the Valkyrie community.

We have a great Valkyrie tech in Mike "Sixlow" who is in the St Augustine area but he might be out of commission for awhile, you will have to reach out to him and then we also have Wood Butcher in the panhandle area.

Keep checking  cooldude cooldude

For the record. Hap’s Honda in Sarasota will still work on old bikes and maybe even gravitate towards the old stuff from looking around. Have this contact post needs?  I do not have one of the 1500s anymore, lately I am learning my way around the Goldwing 1800 with the wrenches.

Great to hear from you as well.

What I would love as well as many others I bet is a thread from you on some of the stories from past rides. Would that be possible?

We will miss Grumpy for sure. Big BF as well. Between the two of them we lost an amazing amount of talent and knowledge as well as a great friendship. Good thing we have our memories.

Just talking about you a couple of days ago Mark, were yours ears burning?  Hope this finds you both well.  We just took a 6 day trip in the Truck/5th wheel RV.  First in 16 months.  We had our second shot for the virus about 3 weeks ago.  Not like it was in 2019 when we made the trip to Washington State and Oregon via everywhere else, but good to get out of the house.
