Buying the bike from a dealer and they found the fuel tap is leaking badly so have ordered a new oem tap from Honda, the chrome finish on the alternator cover has come off due to this.Bike has the 6 into 6 exhaust fitted so guess it will be noisy but I have been offered an oem exhaust system that’s had the 3 little piggies removal mod carried out so I guess that will be noisy too.The weather is not too good here at the moment so don’t mind waiting for a bit of sunshine.I’ll be a frequent poster asking silly questions so bear with me.

Everyone will have different opinions on exhaust and what sounds good to them.   I had a set of six into six and couldn't wait to get something different.   Just too loud for me.

Hi Dave.  I might know the previous owner(s) since I've been riding Valks here in Colorado for 24 years and have been in three local and international Valkyrie clubs including a co-founder of one and involved in the beginning with this one as a "contributing editor".  But you likely don't know who the last owner is with the dealer in between.

Use the search engine especially in the tech forum to find info on your bike.  No doubt therein is the largest body of tech info on the Valkyrie.  I make some mods for the bike, have for 22 years, the last source for custom Valkyrie 1500 pipes AFAIK.  That is, made to your order with several options starting with the OEM Honda-engineered, ONLY double-walled (don't discolor if not abused) pipes.  But shipping across the pond is spendy.

Enjoy your new ride - you'll find it's a great all-around cruiser!

Hi Mark the Colorado registration plate is still on bike I’ve just bought it reads. 676-HAS would be great if you knew of the bike and previous owner, hopefully the link below will open  photo of the plate

Hmmm.... The links seems to be working for me?

Did some googling on both the license and the "Colorado Powersports" and didn't find much...

I managed to find what I believe is the VIN (1HFSC3402VA004229) and confirmed it's a 1997 but (Assuming the VIN # I found is correct) getting previous owner information costs $$$.....

While I don't, I just work for a humble regulatory agency, GCHQ would be a closer analogue to the NSA... MI5 is more like the FBI, MI6 like the CIA and GCHQ is close to our NSA....

sharp bike and not many yellow ones I have seen ever.  Low mileage unless 116K vs. 16K, one nowadays never knows since some valks out there with over 100K miles look like 10K miles.

I have stock pipes on I/S and cobra's on the tourer and like to trade off driving depending on the mood and if I want to piss off the neighbors in town leaving it in 1st gear doing 20mph or over is LOUD, but if you shift well before rpms go up,  the cobras are not too loud for me with helmet on.  Plus, I find if going under 65 mph the drone loudness of cobras are tolerable, but 70 mph or over gets to me after awhile.

I don't recall a local rider with a bumblebee.  But no big surprise; if he didn't ride in my circles I wouldn't.  Over 4 million souls in the Denver area - likely much more now with the Cali-fornicators pollution.  Colorado Powersports is pretty far from here; though they have a couple outlets I know of.  Guessing the PO might have been in their area.

Living in U.K. it’s easy to forget how big your country is especially as I’ve never been to USA,one day maybe
Thought has crossed my mind that mileage could be 116k miles but I’m not bothered the dealer tells me the new fuel tap is being delivered today so could have it tucked away in my garage sometime next week

In the UK 100 miles is a long distance.....

In the US 100 years is a long time.....

It's all a matter of perspectives...  cooldude

Welcome Dave, and congratulations on a beautiful bike, I've always loved the bumblebees.

Back in the eighties I had an English roommate from Plymouth while living in Santa Barbara, he was a diver for Oceaneering.. There are lots of English people in Santa Barbara and through Dave I got to know about what latitude they hail from by their accent. We had a family of English neighbors next door and I became really good friends with the daughter  Evil Grin

Super good dude. Last I heard he was living in Pattaya Thailand, he said he really liked the girls there.  Evil angel

Buy them both; sell the one you don't want over there.  You'll probably come close to paying for them both.
