Now I'm trying to figure out how the large cables and connectors are dressed inside the I/S fairing. When it comes to this kind of thing I "always" take a couple pictures....but forgot this time. Can anyone shed some light on the subject for me or send/post some pictures? I'd do the trial and error approach but it's rather close quarters in there and T & E isn't something I want to do if it can be avoided.

John, do you have a service manual or the PDF version?  I believe there are routing diagrams in the manual.

I have the Honda shop manual but didn't find it in there.  Might have not looked in the right place.

OK, I went back and looked through Chap. 1 and the image at the top of page 1-28 appears to answer my question. I looked at it before and it didn't look right, then this time I realized it's an image presented with the viewer standing in front of the bike facing the rear. I was having difficulty figuring out where/how those large connectors with the cover slipped in place were positioned....and that's poor sentence structure.  Wink Anyway, I now know how they're clamped in place with those flexible retainers. Still need my son-in-law to come by with his extra muscle and two more hands. I can't seem to hold the fairing in place and get a bolt started.

Once the fairing is back in place, I'm changing out the clutch slave cylinder. Then install the wiring for the cruise, install the fuel line plumbing followed by the airbox and tank. I should be ready to start it up again, been sitting dry for a month or more. Still need to flush all the hydraulic lines. My friend Carman Allen that did my seat and tank bib is now in possession of the corider backrest and I'll be sending the back half of the OEM I/S seat so he'll have all pieces on hand to begin his artwork. The old trike should look pretty nice with the new leather and some painting done by The Mountain Man.

"Still need to flush all the hydraulic lines"

try DOT 4 LV.   has higher wet boiling point than DOT 4, allowing longer time btwn change outs and provides a firmer brake feel thru a wider range of temps, esp., during summer temps.

Got the fairing back on, tried it alone and just too heavy to hold with one hand a try to get bolts started. The son-in-law came over, helped with stuffing the wiring back in place and we had it bolted down in just a few minutes. Before closing it all in I tested all the lights, everything works so now it's time to move on to the next item....replacing the clutch slave cylinder. Still need to install the plug wires but not a biggie. I'm getting antzy, want it to be done. Still have to fab a metal piece for the front of the back seat, used to bolt it down like the rear pillion on the Tourer & Std. Once done it gets shipped off to Texas for leather work.
