Hi all, happy St. Patrick's Day  cheers cheers

First of all, I would like to thank the member "2KVISRiderDan" for a great and trouble-free transaction and recommend him to everyone who will trade with him in the future.

Secondly, I would like to ask everyone who uses the Baker wings what they did during the assembly.

(also thanks to all who kindly offer me the wings for sale )

Did you removed the small original deflectors from the fairing or you modified them somehow to fit the Bakers?

Thanks Jiri

Had to pull mine off so they wouldn't interfere with the wings.  When installing those wings, find some hard rubber spacers that'll go inside the two mount depressions on each pod (they're about the size of a dime).  They'll help prevent the pods from cracking over time due to the wings vibrating -- unfortunately a common issue.

I would be sure to reinforce the inside of the radiator pods when you install the wings. I had wings on mine for about 100,000 miles and the pods cracked and began to disintegrate --- perhaps a thin aluminum/hard plastic plate that covers all the attachment points.

Hi again . Just quick one to be sure.

When installing the wings can I use the original pods bolts or should I replace them? ( sorry didn't even check their size yet )

Ride safe. Thanks Jiri

one has nothing to do with the other as I recall

The 3 bolts (dont forget where the short one goes ! ) stay

You may want to coat the inside with some abs glue to make it stronger

Mine have held up for 100000 miles or so just fine

My fog light button however ...not so much but have humongous potholes in nYc and throughout the northeast

Just be careful making the holes. You will  be OK
Maybe some painters  tape if you are worried about drill scratches
