Avons and Metzelers are both good choices...

Always found Avon's to be the best for the front.  Back the best was a car tire that has a rounded profile.  Michelin worked well.

I used to go with Metzelers but the last three I ordered had issues, one with blisters and another one out of round.
I have switched to Avon and so far so good.
The Avon Chromes ride really nice and smooth.
Rear I do have car tires and I have used the Yokohama Avid Envigor and like them but I have also seen the Kumho Ecsta and it looks really good with the rounded edges.

Avon chromes over all the others I've tried and I've tried a bunch: Metzlers, Bridgestone's, Dunlop's and Pirellis, even a car tire.

Avon Chrome for the front. Either the Kumho Ecsta PA31 car tire or Hankook Optimo car tire for the rear.

cooldude My choice was the Bridgestone. I've had them thru 3 changes now on Renegade, my Tourer. No issues and it has been a good ride on AR, NC, WVA & VA twisties. I also run them on my F6B which happen to be factory choice so recently replaced those and again no issues.  coolsmiley
