I need a little input from you guys who have the F6B or for those of you who have put hard bags on your Valk. I checked out a new 2021 Gold Wing over the weekend. The sales guy was showing me all of the little extra goodies the wing has including the push-button hard bags. When he tried to close the rear saddle bag, he had to really slam the cover hard a couple of times to get the cover to stay shut. I have never owned a bike with bags, is this normal? I would think that a bike costing over $24,000 would have covers that would close effortlessly- especially a Honda. Do all cover close that hard?

That's not how they close on my 2013 F6B. There are 2 clicks to get them securely closed. After I close the cover, I push again on the top front corner to complete the process. Neither push is a "slam". Not sure but I think the procedure is explained in my owner's manual or shop manual. Maybe I learned it from the guys on the F6B board. Anyway, you shouldn't have to use that much force.

Ditto on my F6B.  Push to close and latch, one more push at the front of the cover for a secure click.  No slamming of anything.

However, when I first bought it, the dealership hadn't put one of the side plastics on correctly and it made fully closing the bag impossible.  Just had to seat the side plastic correctly and all was good.  I wonder if there is something not lined up quite right on the wing in question.
