How can I 'upload' all the songs off of it to delete ones I don't want anymore? Its a Ilio, circa 2006. I used windows media player to get them on it but can't seem to figure out how to remove them. It doesn't have a delete feature in it. Please use easy, basic lingo, it took me hours to figure out how to get songs on there!  Shocked

Go to " My Computer " then click on the MP3 Player ...Then click on the music file and delete away. You'll need the player plug into the 'puter to do this.

fudgie....

I've got a Sony mp3.  It uses the Windows Media player also.  Here's how I do it.......

Open the Windows Media player window.  Open it up to full screen.

Then plug your mp3 player into the computer.  Windows Media player should recognize it.

Over to the very far left of the screen, under where it says "Music - Libary - Songs"  there should be a playlist tab.  Under that, a Library tab.....and under that, your players tab (should be labeled whatever you player's name is).

Everything you've put on your player should be listed under "library".  You can delet stuff there, but it'll only take it off of the Windows Media player list (not your computer...or your player, just the Media players list).

Under the Library tab, should be a third tab......that's your mp3 players tab (whatever the name of it is).  Mine says Walkman.

That's the tab you want.

Under that tab, open the "songs" tab.  That's everything on your mp3 player.

You can delete songs/albums there.

Hope you understand my rambling instructions.  Good luck.

Will it still do it since I used to different computers to put music on it? I need to get a battery in the morning and try it.

???  I can use the Windows Media Player like BF was claimin' or the My Computer way to delete songs, pictures, etc. I think the My Computer way is faster and easier...I have no idea about the two different computers deal....However if you plug it in the computer should read it and show what's on it...I think  ???

There is a free programme called Media Monkey available from here that is excellent at managing any MP3 player including iPods. It doesn't matter that you installed the music from different computers. It is also a player like WMP. Give it a go it won't cost you anything.

Yes, it should.  Your mp3 player doesn't care where the music came from.  Once it's on the player, it's on the player.

If Windows Media player recogonizes your mp3 player (and it should), then you should be able to open up it's list of contents and delete them.
