Well, It's official. After two years and one new valkyrie of being at my new company, I am finally able to take a week off of work.

Recently rebuilt carbs and kept up with all my maintenance on my daily driver, and new head installed on my girls Honda Rebel 250 (08').

We are going to leave Lakeland for Everglades City on Saturday, and then heading to Flamingo Beach Campground, and then to spend 3 nights in the keys before trying to make it back in one or two days.

If anyone is wanting to go, feel free to join. I even have a spare Valkyrie you can borrow! DM!

Swapped out my antenna since I'm using Bluetooth now adays, and we made it down to everglades city. Saw one black valk on my way down. Beeped at him but he didn't see me I don't think.

Is that a Rebel 250 or 450 with you on the ride?

Very cool !
Lesa had one of them and loved it. Rode it all over Western Tennessee.

I've never been to Flamingo via 2 or 4 wheels.
Usually get to the area when flats fishing out of Islamorada and heading north.
When will you be heading north again?

One of Lesa's items to check off is to ride from the house down to and through the Keys and across the 7-mile bridge.  cooldude

Just do it in off season. Traffic can be a challenge.
Lots of stuff to see.

Wellll. A bit late on the update  uglystupid2 but we made it back. Never used my big ass sea rod, never used my swim gear. Oh well. Did 5 miles of trail riding in sugarloaf key, on the honda rebel on old state road 4a. That was the most fun thing we did in the keys. The rest just felt like they wanted our money and then for us to leave; but the girly enjoyed the butterfly garden in Key West, and I liked the drinks/pie at the hideaway bar.

Will be going back to the everglades soon, I've never caught so many fish in one go, and it was actually really fun pulling them in before the alligators could grab them from my line.
