Based on what's been reported, it appears that only the "river cities" had any real issues.

Always amazes me that folks build on a river and don't expect to get flooded out from time to time.
This doesn't just happen in TN.   It's everywhere.  The same with beach homes and  Hurricanes.  People building homes built in earth quake zones.   Homes and cities built in heavy forested areas and fire hazards.   Lips Sealed

Frasier in Southeast Tennessee

« Reply #4 on: March 31, 2021, 08:45:29 AM »

Frazier Tennessee. just a lot of rain, no significant flooding.

We am surrounded be the Tennessee river and streams that flow into the river. But some 30 to 40 feet above the normal summer river pool level.

There is only one road into the area, I have never known it to flood the road.

It is still raining and we have had over 3 inches last night, on top of the 4 inches we had just a few days ago.

And yes some low lying roads in the greater southeast Tennessee area are already close with water.

Rain, some flooding, is not an uncommon thing in East Tennessee, where a typical year sees 50 to 60 inches of rain. That is why it is so green and has a great growing season. Winter and spring rains and some flooding are not uncommon.

7 miles southeast of Dayton Tn. Off of highway  30. Look for a big loop of the Tennessee river we are in the middle of the loop.
