Had my 12x16 building built several years ago because
my old 8x12 was too full. The new one was huge to start
with but with time I was cramped again with 2 Valkyries
a Honda dirt bike, Riding and Push mower, Weed wacker
etc. Had to take the middle Valk out everytime to get the
riding mower out. Spent Good Friday cleaning and
rearranging the old 8x12 to put all of the mowing stuff in it.
Man it sure is nice to have some room again.
As for the Humor aspect of it my 23 year old Son helped
me do all of this. He and I saw a small silverfish looking
thing go inside one of my wife's boxes that had some fancy
glassware in it. He was standing in front of me when I opened
the box and the bug flew onto his shorts heading upward.
I told him it's on your shorts and he thought I was kidding
until he looked down and saw it then he turned into
Bruce Lee. I didn't know he could move that fast..  Grin

Nice work (if you can get it).   cooldude

I've been arranging, stacking, reorganizing, fixing, roofing, two 10 X 12 sheds for 30 years.

They're about as good (but not clean) as they're ever going to get. (except my doors are rotting now at the bottoms)

But I hope I don't ever get Alzheimer's, because I'll never be able to find anything ever again.   Grin

(Just got back from replenishing my 25-30 gallons of non-corn polluted gas again.  (It goes in the garden shed, NOT with the two Interstates)

face it,  not many have ENOUGH room for all of our stuff.   Wife will NOT let me put a 12x20 ft. storage shed pre-made and delivered on the backyard spot taking up 1/4 of my backyard almost for around that 7K mark to put ALL MY OTHER stuff into it and fill that up as well.   Huh?

Right now my 2 car garage 20x24' with 2 vehicles sitting outside, 1 inside the garage,  has a scanoe, 2 Valks,  honda magna, and suzuki burgman 650cc along with a push mower and 2 sets of snow tires on rims that need cleaned up and put in my basement since WINTER IS FINALLY OVER WITH  cooldude

tomorrow if all goes well with my test drive flush/filled the radiator 4x's to get most of the OEM 7 year old 100K miles radiator fluid out and today did a transmission fluid change (long overdue suppose to be every 60K miles let it go 100K miles),  I will then if vehicle shifts smoothly and radiator fluid is full after short test drive,  break OUT FINALLY both my Valks and both scooters putting batteries in all of them and go for a short ride on a few of them.  LONG OVERDUE indeed last time fired up was late November.

It doesn't matter how big you build it, eventually it'll be too small.

If you build it three times as you think you'll need, it "might" be big enough for you but, once the wife finds out you have room, you just lost...............................

That battle has been fought many times in many places by many spouses through out history.   There are some things worth going all out for and holding that line.   Won't say there ain't some give and take but, what's in my shop/garage is mine.   I do let her borrow some space from  time to time.  Wink
The walk in attic storage is all hers.   It's a bit tough getting my Valkyries up there.   uglystupid2

We have a very nice, modest little home with a little garage.

we have simplistic rules...

if it hasn't been used in 6 months, it goes

and

nothing new goes in, without ... removing something old

When we moved into our new place I made a deal with her, I said as long as the garage is mine I don't care what you do in the rest of the house.. So far it's worked out pretty good  cooldude

Been there, done that.   We have a pretty large (walk in) attic, I installed shelving up there to help her get organized.   If something of mine is there, it's because she wanted it there.   She's recently requested that I put some shelving in my garage, I'm thinking about it.   I could use some shelving to get some things off the floor but, I know if I install that shelving, some of it will be lost to "borrowed" space.   I don't think I'm going to go there until after I get my shop built.   Then will probably do so because, I'll have lots of room in the shop and much of my "stuff" will be relocated.   Until then, I'm standing my ground.  Wink   But, that's all I'm gonna say about that.  I'm not  crazy2 or  uglystupid2
