A friend of mine was going through some of his father's old things.

He found this old hubcap:

Neither of us know what make of car that it came from.

Google wasn't much help.

I'm fairly certain that someone here will be.

Thanks in Advance!  cooldude

NOT my area of expertise by a long shot, but did some Googling, might be a 1920's-1930's or so Oldsmobile Winged Spur hubcap?

Looks similar, but not quite the same, but same basic outline...

Edit to add:

I see elements of the "Winged Spur" Oldsmobile from 1920's - 1930's and the lines going out to the sides are reminiscent of the Ringed Globe emblem of 1949-1956:

I agree, it's close but not exact.

His dad did drag race Oldsmobiles so it could be one from a different era.

Found this info.
Website said: The "Winged Spur" Emblem This crest included many elements symbolizing Oldsmobile's increasing prominence in the automobile industry. The winged spur at its center represented harnessing horsepower; the acorns acknowledged Oldsmobile as a seed that helped grow the automobile industry. Also included is the Lamp of Knowledge and micrometer and a triangle signifying research, exactness and precision. This crest would continue to be used on various models and hub caps. The Winged Spur appeared on such vehicles as the 1934 Oldsmobile Six Touring Coupe complete with "trunk, built into the body." In 1939, Oldsmobile would introduce 1940 models with the industry's first fully automatic transmission.

I can’t take credit, my co-worker is an old car nut, he knew what it was from.

That cap sure looks familiar, but, I don't know. And I can't tell from the pic. Is that it ?
