I rode Mama's machine yesterday.  It had been sitting for awhile and needed some exercise.  I ran it on an errand and then down the flyway for a way.  I burned the old fuel out of the tank and then filled it with fresh gasoline.  She started poorly the first time.  Took a full enricher.  Ran rough out of the drive.  Down the road she seemed to do better.  I was a bit surprised at how effortlessly she went from sixty-five to over the ton.  She has bags and a small Memphis Shades screen.  Sits low but then so does my yellow.  I passed a traffic enforcer but was fortunately blocked by the truck I was passing until I saw him.  He was taking pictures from the median.

Today I took the yellow, Daisy Mae, out.  I went RMN which is fairly unusual for me.  Wow!  By comparison she is very nimble and very quick.  Recently I have had some inquisitive thoughts about whether I'm losing some of my deep desire to ride.  Just a few moment with my hand on that throttle blows that question out of my mind.

I did give my twenty year old pickup to my grandboy and replaced it with another Honda.  Honestly more than a few years ago I have less inclination to put on the cool weather gear and ride when the days are less than inviting but the warm weather seems to have arrived.  Today was predicted to be up to eighty degrees.  I saw a thermometer that displayed 84.  I'm happy to have that here.

She sounds good too.  I honestly don't understand what some folks want in whisper pipes (or those big windows on the front).   Smiley

I was tasked to go to CostCo to pick up some Rx for the spousal unit today, so asked the triplets if anyone wanted to go with me...

"Are you taking a motorcycle?" came the reply from Serk Jr.

"Yes, Yes I am"

"THEN YES!!!!!"

As he was gearing up to ride on my current main Valk, the Green Interstate, he asked "Why don't we ever ride the Blue one anymore?"

I felt guilty, but the Green one has become my primary, so we continued on with it, but if Kali isn't gonna ride my Blue and Ivory more, I might need to do so a bit more I think.....

....such is the plight of multiple Valk owners..... It's a good problem to have!

Well I did increase the hoise level on my I/S. Far as the W/S goes I still chase the wind But-THAT word again-I noticed shortly after I got the I/S the W/S Helped a LOT by not having to fight the wind constantly at speeds North of 80-85 M P H. 600  700 mile days in the saddle are now more manageable due to the W/S. Sides-I personally ain't agittin no younger!  2funny But I duz understand Completely the Ride yer own Ride thingy!  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

Mama's Valk is a Blue and Creme also.

Daisy Mae is a bit more svelte.

While admittedly it's none of my business, I'm thinking MotoMama needs to be riding her bike more.   Get her out of the kitchen and enjoy what the road has to offer.   Wink

If I didn’t have a proper windshield (like I do) summertime riding in Florida would have to include frequent stops to clean my helmet face shield of bug carcasses. I took the shield off the bike for a deep clean a while back and thought. Let’s go for a ride just for grins. (I was using a 3/4 helmet then). Yes it reminded me of my early no windshield riding days and it was fun at city speed but not fun for long on the highway and dragonflies taste horrid. Suffice to say the no windshield test lasted a half hour. As far as quiet pipes, I like them (especially since I eliminated all the droning) and love the HP the stock pipes provide but miss the “V12” sound of the Cobras, so I will be modifying the baffling to try to increase back pressure and reduce the db. I’ll let y’all know how that goes.

It comes down to personal preference. It would be boring and unnatural if we were all the same.

LOL, Ron.  You treat your household servants as you choose and we'll choose our way.   Wink  There are a lot of people that depend upon her time in the kitchen for their joy and well being.

It is personal preference, isn't it?  I wouldn't travel in a cage without a windscreen.   Grin

I've heard that quote so often of the need for everyone to be different.  I disagree.  I think the world would be a better place if everyone were just like me.   Smiley  If I didn't think thus I would change what I am to be a better contributor.  Lots of folks drive Civics to avoid the discomfort of riding a motorcycle.     coolsmiley

But, Jeff, if everyone was like me you would be just like I am and you would be thrilled with the world around you.   Grin

Honestly, Jeff, there are a lot of people in this world who are like you.  It doesn't make me want to leave this world but it does cause me to want to do my part to make it better.   Smiley

Not giving up riding, although she doesn't ride as often as I do.... She's still planning on riding to Athens in June.....

In fact she's delaying some of her post high school graduation plans based on her not wanting to initiate anything until after Inzane...

Carl,
The last thing I would consider my Spousal Unit to be is a household servant.   Partner, spouse, mother of my children and inspirer but servant, not even I would go there.   There's  uglystupid2 and there's  crazy2 while I may be a bit of both, I'm not certifiably nuts.   Grin

I originally stated it wasn't any of my business.   It's not and I won't go any further with this.

LOL!  Pride is certainly an odd but frequent trait.  When one chooses to prepare food for others to consume that one has chosen the role of a servant (for a price).  When I choose to provide for the expenses and welfare of my spouse then I, too, have chosen the role of a servant.  There are other folks and situations for whom and which I have willingly accepted the role of a servant.  Jesus Christ described himself as a servant.  Surely your spouse doesn't consider herself above the Lord Jesus Christ.   Shocked

BTW, I am certifiably nuts.  It has and does serve me well.   cooldude
