How do I do this?

I have items in a mail house in Blaine WA. They usually charge for storage when you don't pick it up, but they are being nice and waiting on the border to open up, before charging us Canadians for storage. Some items have been sitting there over over a year now. I would like to get them removed before the business starts charging for storage, just to be nice to them back.

I've checked with shipping, but there's also brokerage fees involved, since couriers/truckers can cross the border. The items I have there are only worth about $100-200. It would be cheaper to scrap them, than pay for the shipping or anything else. The mail house actually can't forward the shipments, because of the "dangerous goods", shipping the Lithium batteries.

I'm just throwing it out there, in case anyone from WA is looking for a destination ride, to drop by and pick up my items.

I've a STD drivers seat, 2 voltmeters (compact), Valkyrie sales brocher, and some Lithium batteries. I think we are looking at the size of 2x STD drivers seats.

If you're interested, email me, work out some remuneration for the trip. I would need to let the mail house know who is picking up the items before you show up.

This will be an open offer till the border opens up, so that is a total unknown date.

Pick it up, and store it till the border opens up again. Then I can drive down and pick it up from you. No rush or deadline.

Hey Gordon,

how much trouble do you think it would cause if someone just set it across the border on Zero Avenue?!  police

There ya go Gord...just arrange a time late at night in the dark...Steve will ride over from Spokane to pick it up for you in the day, camp out on Zero Ave until your pre-arranged meeting time, then lob it over the ditch (and apparently the new low-level gate). Problem solved.
Our good old Valhalla cousins South of the border....they're so smart, and so generous to take the time to do stuff like this  Wink

I was wondering the same. Since the Peace Arch Park is open, and people from both sides meet there, how hard would it be to meet in the middle, and bring them back, claiming them at the crossing?
