quick clamps for hwy pegs

I bought a nice used set of heavy duty hwy pegs but are 1 1/4 inch hinge quick clamps and need 1 1/8 inch to fit. I tried using to cover up the gap a rubber bicycle tire but after super tight as can be does NOT get tight enough which makes sense since clamp is too big a diameter.
Anyone have any luck getting the size 1 1/4 inch quick clamps to fit tight not able to move onto a 1 1/8 inch bar? Any suggestions?
I could only use part of a used bicycle tire on ONLY ONE side of the quick clamp around the frame of my honda magna (same 1 1/8 inch as our Valks crash bar). Tempted to cut 2 smaller chunks of bicycle tires one in the middle of each side of the too big diameter quick clamp to level the uneveness out as is now with 1 rubber on only one side and put a small vice grips clamped on tight around the hinge by bolt that goes thru so as to stay put not moving while tightening that 3/4 inch bolt head, but I doubt will make any difference. I think the quick clamp has to match EXACTLY the frame/crash bar diameter in order to get tight enough to not move, agree?
I looked up kuryakyn quick clamps and are 34 bucks each so 68 bucks just for 2 new clamps when the entire used set including pegs and extensions and quick clamps were 30 bucks on craigslist. NO IDEA why the 1 1/8 quick clamps are 34 each when the 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 inch quick clamps come in a set for either 55 or 60 bucks total so at or under 30 bucks each? very odd in pricing that way not coming as a set cheaper in that 1 1/8 inch size I need.

The larger ones are more common, they make more of them, so cheaper.
I think trying to shim too-large ones is a mistake; it may be possible with trial and error. But your spacer will need to make tightening the clamp so hard you may break them (to stay tight). Thin metal is probably better than rubber.
I found a better price on the 1 1/8" clamps (#7941).

I had the same situation and made shims out of 1/8" aluminum plate I had around. I did have to use a timesert to replace the threads on one of the clamps, but they've been on there for 3 years and don't move at all.

thank you Jess will be ordering them soon since 23 is better than 33 each
not a bad deal were 23 bucks each somehow they gave me about a 10% discount at 21 each so the 4 bucks saved pays for half of the 7.95 shipping charges. All other places were 33 to 35 each clamp which is way overpriced for what you get.

I ordered a couple of these. Just enlarged the mounting hole to accept my peg mounts. They don't move.
