I have a 2000 Valk. tourer with 101200 miles and I am going to replace brushes on the alternator.  Original alternator and first time for maintenance and cleaning on it.  What other parts should I replace on it while I have it removed.  Thanks in advance.

Having done this brushes replacement recently, I recommend cutting the new pigtails longer than original.
At ~96k, one of mine was worn into the hole. The other was close to the hole. Pigtail tension was just about maxxed out on the shorter brush.

Be gentle during disassembly, rotating the plate slightly to stretch out the conductor windings past their guide. Use a pinpoint high wattage iron to quickly desolder and solder.

Use deep creep penetrating oil on the mount bolts while they are hot, several times before their actual removal.

I reused my snubber, but many recommend replacing it making reinstalling easier. I had no issue.
