Aluminium protection
«

Hi all. Hope you are well.
I have polished my wheels and with hands like a monkey I would like to protect the Aluminium somehow.
What do you use to protect aluminium on our bikes pls?
Still have some ACF50 if someone have any experience with it?
Thanks for any suggestion.
Ride safe.

I just use Bombs Away polish. It has carnuba wax in it. My wheels here in Florida have never gotten ugly again. They were rough when I first got the bike. I’ve had this bike with these wheels for 19 years in Florida. I think it works

After polishing, any decent paste wax (better than liquids) will add life to your effort. Repeat once in a while.
But every kind of wax I ever used reduced the shine by about 20%. (but I did it anyway, since polishing those wheels is a big suck, even with power tools)
I never wanted to mess with clear coat.
Powdercoat a shiny battleship grey is the answer, but I never got around to that either.

Meh, I rattle-can painted mine with Wheel Paint.
They clean right up WHEN I wash it, which is rarely.
No regrets.

Powdercoated mine in green/black/clear to match the bike. No tarnish anymore and easy cleaning.

After polishing I just wax them with a good carnuba wax.
