I am still on vacation for the holidays. I will start work again next Monday.
Today, for lack of something better to do, I cleaned soot out of the fireplace for a while, and cleaned some drains.  Eventually home alone I decided to lay on the couch to read a comic book and watch Lois and Clark on DVD. However, my living room is feeling distinctly couchless.  My parents are paying to have my couch recovered as a Christmas present to my wife.

Being couchless is a blessing really because I got tired of standing in the living room by the window full of sunshine.

I went out for an afternoon ride until my wife was due home.  I was able to sneak away for a little less than a hundred miles this afternoon. I went nowhere in particular, just out across the lake and back again.  The sky was clear and the temps were cool.

Being couchless has its benefits.  Laying prone on the floor to use the laptop is not one of them.

It is -13 as I write this.

So if I understand you, if I get rid of my couch, it will be warm enough to be cool enough to ride?

I don't know the science behind it, but at -13, I'll try anything. LOL
