I am looking to change my bars and grips. Looking for more of a drag style bar with some pullback. Currently I have risers but am open to going to a T-bar style. Which of the VTX bars will work well? Any pics, model numbers, suggestions of what you have? Also, I need a new set of grips. Will any 1 inch grip work? What do I need to match up? There are lots of nice custom grips for the Harley crowd, but it seems all that available for us is the Kuryakyn ISO's. Can anyone give me some ideas? Thanks.

Any of the 1in grips will work, if you want something really different check out the Jardine bars, they have several differentconfigurations and a wide selection of risers. http://vrcc.photostash.com/vrcc_501/Ratbike+transformed+013.jpg

Check out JP Cycles. They have alot of 1" bars. My HD buds got drags on his and the risers are part of the bars.

I saw a posting in the archives about Milwaukee Twins Super Radius bars but I cant find them anywhere. The are supposed to be a drag style bar the pull back some but keeps the wrist and hand position of a drag bar angle. Thats what Im looking for. A bar that comes back less than stock but is straighter left to right. JP Cycles doesnt list them Super anymore.

Yes. Are those the Super Radius by Milwaukee Twins? Supposed to be 8 inch rise and 11.5 pullback. I checked out the ones from Dennis Kirk, but damn, $224 for handlebars, thats outrageous. How different are these from the VTX bars?

I wrapped my grips in Tennis racket tape. It gives a good grip, soft, and it looks like leather. I'm thru spending big bucks on expensive grips.

Go to Lowes. Look at the chrome grab bars that mount in your bathtub. Perfectly straight chromed hollow bar available usually in 7/8 and 1 inch. Stick it in your risers. Cheap fast option. Use your stock grips and it is a cheap drag bar option.
We did that on one of the CB750s or XS11s. I don't remember which now. It wasn't one of our real bikes, just a bike we tinker with and sold.

The company is called 'Wild1' ( http://www.wild1inc.com/ ) and they have some pretty cool stuff, including 'Drag Bars'. Their bars are 1 1/4", but necked down to 1" where the controls go, and at the clamp. They are also drilled, to hide wires inside the bars. I have the 518RK's (for the Road King), but they have dozens of different styles available. Be sure you look at their 'Blemish' section. I went that route, and would not have seen the flaw if it had not been pointed out by them. Good way to save some $$$ Black Dog

Wow you brought back a 2 year old thread. I dont think they will work. Says the VTX spacing is 130mm and I believe the Valks is 100mm. Some one will correct me if Im wrong.

Thanks Okie. Those are the HardKrome pipes which I actually just sold. I put on a set of Supertrapps and all I can say is "amazing".

Yes, true. But, I don't know how they measure it, just the space or in the middle of the holes? Any ideas for any other 1-1/2" bar than Big Buffalo? I need rise and pullback, because of my bad back
