I had to order a Valkyrie battery recently, and needed to spend $5 more to get free shipping. So I found a $10 tool, the Tusk Hydraulic Brake Bleeder. It's essentially a speed bleeder type one way valve with a plastic hose on both ends. You just connect it to the nipple on the bleed valve, open the valve and pump the pedal or lever.

I put some Speed Bleeders on a Valkyrie and one leaked, so I had to crank it down pretty tight. They need an 8 MM wrench rather than the 10 MM found on the OEM bleed valves, so I didn't like tightening them that much. Personally I prefer using this tool instead, and the price is hard to beat.

I guess speed bleeders are more for those who like to leave them on. I install them temporarily then remove them after replacing the brake fluid.

Big fan of these. Speed bleeders are great too, but at least this I can use on all my toys and not have to put bleeders in every single one.  Simple and effective.

I like speed bleeders. I've been using them for 15 years.

This thing seems better  Smiley ...

My Mity-Vac setup with a small plastic canister comes in handy for brake bleeds on the Valk as well as cars.

I've worn three of them out, bleeding so many brakes over the years.

Glad to see your "review" of this item.  I've thought about getting one, but information on it was kinda lacking.  I recently bled the brakes and clutches (seven brakes, two clutches) on all the bikes in the garage and this little tool would have saved some time.

Thanks for posting!

I have to change out all the fluid on both my bikes. There's speed bleeders everywhere now.
I fear cranking down on one of them too hard and breaking it off. My experience is that if you
don't crank down on them hard enough, they're not done bleeding... this little Tusk frob
seems like it has the magic of the speed bleeders and none of the finickyness... I think I
remember some post where a member here put a speed bleeder in a hunk of line and
used it like the Tusk tool... anyone remember that?

I still don't have the parts to redo the clutch hydraulics on the red bike... the rebuild kit
for the master cylinder (probably not my problem) is on back order, so they didn't send
anything  tickedoff ...

Partzilla shows it in stock and a quick eBay search showed several new OEM kits available there.

Yeah. I didn't want to name names  Smiley ... remember the Seinfeld episode where he
reserved a car? Anyone can say they have something in stock, the trick is actually having
it in stock...

Make your own like the tool pictured above using just one speed bleeder. Plus, it doesn't have to be one for a bike...just as long as it's a speed bleeder it can be automotive since the function is the same. It's not being mounted on the bike but as shown in the picture. I plan on making one myself in the next few days, I don't have the convenience of a partner to help out and don't want to wait for delivery of speed bleeders for the front wheel on the trike. Now....if someone has a pair of speed bleeders for the Valk they want to unload, contact me.
