Took Al-117 and the Lookout Mountain Parkway up to Mentone, AL.  Not no purpose sort of by accident.

AL-177 was closed beyond Mentone but the lady in a small store/restaurant give us a way back down.  Mentone is the highest point in Alabama.

The road down was on a pretty rough road but some very, very nice homes (high dollar I was told).

Looks like the speed limit was only a suggestion!  Wink

Very nice! I love the American flags all over the place! Is video posting on Rumble easy? I don't want to support YT.

Sunday I took off at 3pm for a ride to clear my head and ended up heading into the mountains covering some 140 miles. Couldn't believe there was still plenty of daylight when I got back at ~6:30.

Yes it was posted on Rumble.  However, I did not think the video quality was at the HD setting so, since I have an account on Youtube, I also just posted it there to compare the video links on the forum.

After viewing the videos of both platforms on my Chromebook and with my somewhat dubious eyesight it looks to me like the YouTube video might be a little bit better.. But not that much.
