Recently my brother was in town and he mentioned to my girl that this show on Netflix is really good. I've never heard of it and apparently it came out in 2013 and ran for six or seven seasons I believe. I'm not big on watching anything on TV but find the series to be very raw and entertaining.. that rarely happens  Smiley

From Wiki:
Peaky Blinders is a British period crime drama television series created by Steven Knight. Set in Birmingham, England, the series follows the exploits of the Shelby crime family in the direct aftermath of the First World War. The fictional family is loosely based on a real urban youth gang of the same name, who were active in the city from the 1890s to the early 20th century.

My son is tracking several series for the new episodes.
They said Covid delayed production for a good while
but they started filming Season 6 in January 2021 and
should be released by late 2021 or early 2022.

That's good to hear, I thought the series was finished. My girl tends to binge watch one series after another so I miss a lot of it.

It's a very entertaining show, I think she's on the second year now so I catch bits of it here and there. Re-watching it for myself from end-to-end might be something I do in the future.

This is a pretty good scene from season 1, of course there are many great ones.

started watching 1st two episodes season 1 last night.   I thought it started out sort of slow but after the 2nd one I might have to watch more picked up in pace and seems to have good writing and plot lines.   I find the music selection sort of odd more modern and hard rock type but I guess that creates drama and grabs your attention?

The song Red Right Hand is used in the video game Red Dead Redemption 2 as well as Peaky Blinders, this video shows what I assume is a portion of the video game. I'm not sure if the song was made for the game soundtrack or not, all I know is it is used in both.

At any rate I like the music selection in the show, maybe I'm just used to the music from my son and his video games. Red Dead Redemption 2 has a very good soundtrack.

Hmmm, I'll have to try it again. Didn't make it thru the first one I watched, didn't care for it.
