Hello all,

Now that I have taken the trunk off of my IS, I am thinking it needs to have a bib on the rear fender.

I know this is a long shot, but does anyone know if Hapnel made one back when this style of tank bib was made?

I have this, plus pod accents in the same style, and would love to have a matching theme all the way through.

Thanks for any help!

I am also interested in this same type. I have heard that there is one from a Harley that works by punching two holes in the front, but I can not find out which one. It could get very expensive to do trial by error.

Interesting....don’t mind modifying something, but like you say, could get expensive.

I don't think hopnel made a bib for the rear.  When I solo'd the IS for my wife I purchased this one from mustang.  It was for a yamaha I think but was long enough to adjust and install with the rear fender bolt

I kind of wondered if they made one or not.  I am guessing this was put on the bike around the first couple years of its life.

I also wonder if one could be custom made without a lot of expense.

A leatherworking guy has been coming to InZane, I wonder if he
makes them?

I just talked with Scott from Talisman Leather (site sponsor) and he stated that he makes a rear bib for the Valkyrie. It is not on his web site right now, but he will be updating his site soon with pictures on valkyries. His Valkyrie fender bib is 5" X 16" and the bib has one hole at the back, and velcro at front where it gets tucked under the seat.

If you go to his web site:

https://talismanleatherlondon.com/page.php?pageType=productDetail&productId=10517420
you can see a couple examples, you can order from the site, or call him @ 519-432-0176

I just ordered one, it came to $56 with shipping and Canada tax. I will update with a photo after I get it.
Hope this helps,  Jim

Scott from Tallisman sent me a pic of a Valkyrie with his studded bib attached.

Thanks Jim, I actually contacted him this morning to get more info.  I also contacted a custom leather shop to see if they could replicate what I have going on with the tank bib.

Well, the custom route didn’t work for the one I contacted....seems that tank bib design is unique to Hopnel.

I don't think Mustang is making stuff for Valkyries anymore (at least off their website).  I have a studded Mustang rear fender bib and I think their non-studded bib - with is braded edge - would match up nicely with the Hopnel.

Maybe a call to Mustang (800-243-1392) would yield one of their Valkyrie fender bibs.

Here's a link showing the Mustang bibs (studded) on my Valk...

Good luck!
