I’m reminded with the approaching Memorial Day holiday that the squeaky wheel gets the grease. The vast majority of American people are fair minded, hard working, non racist, God fearing patriots, some republican and some democrats. But what I feel is that a handful of very well financed people are trying to convince us otherwise. Our media outlets provide a megaphone to that relativity small minority and the rest of the nation gets the grease!
While it appears that there are dark clouds looming over our country politically, I’m betting on the soul of America to stay strong. Too many have paid the ultimate price for our country to believe otherwise. For me it’s God, family, country for the win!
Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Memorial Day weekend and then in a couple of weeks the same at Inzane!

Nicely put and a great observance.
I believe we are in a war no less serious than the civil war. But I also do believe we will come through it with flying colors. I long for the day that we will see the US as it was a strong prosperous country that like in the movies strives for truth, justice and the American way.

Boy I hope you're right.
The silent majority needs to start speaking up, and, maybe start yelling and screaming.

F6john;
I agree and I believe we can over come the evil.
I don't know about the rest of you but for me, I was sort of brought up to get along, don't have any thing nice to say, just say nothing.
I think that was ok for the 60's maybe the 70's but today, it's different.
All it takes for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing.

"Love it or leave it."
Haven't heard that said in a long time. Maybe it's time to bring it back.

" Love it or leave it "
Seems I've been saying that more lately. A moron was complaining quite loudly day before yesterday so everyone could hear him. I let him know it was still legal, and he was welcome, to go to any other country he wished. I offered to pitch in for his ticket as long as he agreed to never come back. He just gave everyone a stupid look.

Freedom When we traveled out of the US, we always tried to be respectful in airports and in foreign countries. Most people can spot Americans. There are a number of reasons for that, but we would try our best to be respectful, and not be offensive.
My son John, two other guys and I had been in Pietermaritzburg South Africa for a week. There is a large contingent of Indian people in South Africa. It is across the pond from India. The Indian people there live a very reserved culture. Typically, not showing a lot of emotion.
We were ministering in various venues, holding meetings, and preaching. Families from the churches considered it an honor to provide a meal for us, and would put on beautiful, and lavish meals of curry several times a day.
After ministering in a church, the pastor thought we might like some American cuisine, for a change. He took us to a Roy Rogers restaurant located at center mall in a local shopping mall. The four of us and the pastor were sitting there talking and sort of forgot where we were.
After a while a man approached us and asked, “You are Americans, aren’t you?” I felt we had offended him, and said, “I am so sorry if we have offended you.” He said, “Oh no, you have not offended me.” “I was enjoying watching you laugh and enjoy yourselves. Thank you, you are so free. We can’t act like that.”
I have never felt more free, than at that moment. So many Americans take freedom for granted. I fear many Americans do not understand their freedom. Every time I return to this country, I want to kiss the ground. I wish every American could go somewhere and do something for someone else, so that they would realize how good they have it here.
