Ride to the ride.

Darn it, the elevation sign on Mt Mitchell had been taken down. The visitors center etc were cloased due to remodeling. maybe a newer sign will be installed?

Parking lot near the restaurant on Mt. Mitchell.

BRP overlooks

Darn it

A friend sent me a link to a WSJ web page about this small church in West Jefferson, NC

https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/north-carolina/church-of-the-frescoes-nc/

Unfortunately they didn't look as polished in real life.

However the stained glass windows were beautiful

622 between Marion and Nebo, VA

Into the unknown

Quite a few of these. Some much tighter.

Hwy 16 looking north to Tazewell

Matties Place, Burke's Garden.   http://www.mattiesplaceburkesgarden.com/

BBQ sandwich with a slice of tomato and cheese.

Absent friends

A gift from Wimp

Day of the ride.

Not many photos due to riding with others and not stopping

They are BIG bikes

Thanks for the pics... It's nice to see riders/friends  getting together again. I've missed that, and am looking forward to our Valhalla gathering this year...delayed from the traditional June date until September, in the hope that the border will be open so our American friends can attend.
Do you miss your old 1500 at all, or does riding the 1800 relegate it to a distant memory?

Never forgotten.  BUT the 1800 is a mile eater.
